Orientation is a time to learn about our academic programs, meet SUNY Poly faculty and staff, learn about services we offer, and become an official member of our SUNY Poly community. New, accepted students are required to complete an orientation program prior to the start of their first semester. Academic advisement and course registration also occurs during orientation.

ALL UNDERGRADUATE students MUST:

  • Complete Essentials, our online pre-orientation program which will be available in May. This online session introduces students to critical campus services and provides guidelines for course selection.

  • Attend an in-person Student Orientation program.
