FIRST LEGO® League Junior (FLL Jr)

Grades K-3: Captures young curiosity directing it toward discovering the wonders of science and technology.


Grades 4-8: Students research a real-world engineering challenge and compete with LEGO-based robots of their own design.

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)

Grades 7-12: Teams are challenged to design, build, and program a robot to accomplish various tasks with and against other robots.

FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC)

Grades 9-12: Head to head competition on a special playing field with robots they have designed, built, and programmed.
SUNY Poly hosts and mentors FRC Team 5030 The Second Mouse. 
Past and present SUNY Poly students serve as mentors and the Robot Lab resources are available to the team. 

Robot Riot (May or June)

Exciting SUMObot and Mini Robotics Challenge competition for 9-14 year olds using LEGO NXT or EV3 Mindstorms sets.

Summer STEM Camps 

Academic STEM Day Camps for ages 6 to 18 in FIRST® & MINDSTORMS Robotics, Nanotechnology, Inventing & more! 

Mohawk Valley Tech Ed and Pre-Engineering Showcase (March)
